Bridges

Bridges are more than just “a structure built to span physical obstacles such as a body of water, valley, or road, for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle.” We bridge every time we enter SL to people from all over the world. I really like bridges, whether they are touchable or virtual because they have connected me with some of the coolest, intelligent, talented and wonderful people in the world.

Speaking of bridges, there is one in my picture. “The Old Bridge – “interactive scene. An ancient, ivy covered structure spans a babbling brook. The pebbly river banks and rocks are an ideal place to sit, relax, meditate or even read a book!” by designer Alex Bader of Studio – Skye and is 100 % mesh and very beautiful. This particular one is at the Image Essentials sim where it is set up for picture taking along with many other scenes from various designers through out the sim. When you arrive you can get a free hud that will help you tp from scene to scene. There are new Christmas props available on the 3rd floor of Something New and the sim is also decorated in some areas for winter. You will be very pleased with what you find there.

It was a hosting day for Laidback Celt, “you won’t hear looper efffects. What you will hear is one man with his guitar and his powerful, rock ‘n roll voice belting out songs ranging from CCR to Snow Patrol.” If you want to hear someone who sings with all his heart you want to hear Laidback. Next show is at Kickin 01/12/12 at 6pm slt.

Laidback was playing at a new venue named Relic “A place they and other Musicians can jam live music, poetry & hopefully comedy ….& who knows what ” I like smaller venues and this one is just the right size where people can interact and get to know each other while enjoying great music. It’s the kind of place you can hang out and meet some cool people in a relaxing setting. Make a stop there while on your SL travels.

Steely DeCosta “I play a variety of covers and original jams with my loop station” fired up his guitar and treated the audience with an hour of sweet surrender ! Catch his next show at Guthries 30/11/12 9am slt.

Last but not least the final Jeanette Janus Memorial Concert at End of Time Arts Center is today 30/11/12 starting at 11am slt with Elvina Carlucci & Sam, 12 noon slt Fran6 Parkin, 1pm slt Putri Solo, 2pm slt UKD Project Rola & Anto and ending with Maxx Sabertooth at 3pm slt. If you have time stop by and hear some of these awesome performers.
