Today I found a store new to me but not new to SL, Barely Legal Couture. Lovely items to be found here. I’m in love with these green flower power jeans and the sweet crop top, finished off with a pair of their cool pink plaid sneakers. Lots of Lola items and a line for teens, very cool store. I’ll be wearing a lot from here! There is 25% off most new releases and items throughout the store, so tp over and get yourself some great clothes at good prices.

Today was the monthly performance by Marky Helstein’s First Life band Sonix at Key West. Each month Sonix  performs for the Feed a Smile Charity and today they were  joined by another First Life performer Jo-Dee a beautifully voiced Scottish lass.  What a great hour of  music, I am really happy I finally had a chance to hear them. As is usual for a Marky performance the venue was packed and today was no different.  If your lucky enough to live around Ayrshire, Scotland and get the chance to see and listen to Sonix or Jo-Dee in person your one lucky person! Sonix will be back in SL March 10th at 2pm slt.  I will post the venue the night before. This is one show you don’t want to miss. Check out Marky’s solo show at  Key West 26/02 6pm slt.

A bit on Feed a Smile Charity, run by Brique Topaz – Feed a Smile (brique.topaz). “The Lavender Field for Feed a Smile is the place to meet people and hear some of the most amazing musicians that SL has to offer. All donations are used to pay for meals for very needy children on the Live and Learn in Kenya Int’l program. For more information: http://www.llk-selb.de  or contact Brique Topaz” Each 100L donated buys a meal. Musician’s donate their time to this worthwhile cause, so take some time and tp over to Lavender Field  for some good music and donate if you can.

At End of Time this evening I heard Jamba LosAngeles, for the first time. ” Yes their was a time, in the beginning, when only  two or three alone musicians discovered and paved the way for all musicians to freely express themselves via virtual worlds.  I was one of those privileged few under the AV name JAMBA Pinkney, 2004. I have always played music here with the intention to promote world peace.” A very accomplished musician who does a bang up  job of Neil Young covers but also some excellent originals full of profound and important messages.  Jamba is definitely worth taking time out to hear and you can at The Source  10/03  6pm slt.

Moving on, I tp’d over to the Wounded Warrior Project, where Shannon Oherlihy a singer/songwriter from CT, USA creates contemporary folk music with rich vocals and songs that resonate the human experience.” was half way through her set.”  A melodic songstress who sings with her heart. Check Shannon out and make sure to ask for her amazing original “The Test”. Shannon can be next heard at Tranquil Cafe 25/02 5pm slt.

Mr”wow those fingers” Frets Nirvana was next at WWP. “Total Guitar! That is what you hear when you listen to Frets Nirvana. Using acoustic, resonator and electric guitars Frets pallette of sound is quite varied and always interesting! ” Amazing guitarist with a big selection of eclectic tunes, you don’t want to miss so rush yourself over to Rhi’s Poem 27/02 7pm sltand have a listen.

Wounded Warrior Project is operated by RL U.S. Military Veterans for RL U.S. Military Veterans, Active Duty, Retirees, their families and RL supporters. Allied Forces military veterans are also welcome! *NOT AN RP SIM*  More than 30,000 troops have been injured in recent conflicts, many of them suffering traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and severe burns. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) provides services and programs to ease their burdens and aid in the transition back to civilian life. Sponsored by Frets Nirvana and U.S. Military Veterans Group in Second Life, all donations from this benefit go to The Wounded Warriors Project.  Drop by the sim and hear some of SL’s finest performers who donate their time and drop a donation into the helmets if you can.
